The original gîtes of La Dorépontaise are nestled in a haven of peace in the commune of Pondaurat (Gironde), a picturesque little village in the heart of the countryside, just a stone's throw from La Réole and Bazas, towns of art and history.

Set apart from the beautiful 19th-century stone house, the traditional Mongolian yurt stands in the heart of the large biodiversity garden, overlooking the meadow and orchard. It's a cosy, comfortable home made of natural materials (larch wood, felt and waterproof canvas).

Charming and colourful, the yurt sleeps 4 people (up to a maximum of 6) in 35 m2 of living space, including: a double bed and two single beds (+2 extra beds), a small lounge and a storage area.

Right next to the yurt is a kitchen and bathroom (with shower and washbasin), which can be shared with other campers, as well as a separate toilet and a shaded terrace with barbecue and sun loungers.

You can make use of all the communal areas and take a stroll in and around the 3 hectares of grounds.

For a peaceful stay in the heart of nature, with family or friends, a change of scenery and absolute relaxation...

We develop all our activities in an eco-responsible way, for sustainable tourism.

On site, you'll find :
- a lot of activities for all the family: swimming pool and its bar, pétanque, ping-pong, swing, library and other board and outdoor games...
- the family micro-farm with its young orchard and vegetable garden, chickens and beehives!
- on sale, subject to stock and availability : farm produce (fruit and vegetables in season, eggs and honey) and other local craft products (beer, wine, apple juice, preserves, etc.).

The surrounding area:
- discover the region's heritage (historic towns and villages, castels, Entre Deux Mers and Sauternes vineyards, windmills, etc.)
- sports and leisure activities (horse riding, canoeing, tree climbing, parachute jumping, Terra Aventura, etc.)
- nature (botanical walks, forests, lakes, banks of the Canal and protected river valleys, etc.)

We're on site most of the time, so we'll be delighted to answer any questions you may have, and to advise you on local treasures, places to visit and our favourite restaurants!
